Apart from the sarcastic humour, Great explanation of Homeopathy. Good for generating discussion about this historically difficult to comprehend but powerful and inexpensive medical system. The essence of Homeopathy is using an artificial disease to drive out a real disease. For example, Arnica Montana, which in crude state would cause effects like muscle pain and general trauma, but in "potentized" form drives them out of the human body. Thousands of athletes agree.
ReplyDeleteChristopher has invited an "artificial disease" into his life and has vociforously espoused it with his voice. Is it karma that he now has a real disease (Christopher Hitchens has cancer of the oesophagus)which will still his voice and "cure" his artificial disease? Is it God's benevolence that Atheist Christopher Hitchens could be 'saved' by an evangelical Christian?
Hitchens is receiving a revolutionary new treatment for his cancer partly developed by an evangelical Christian scientist, Dr Francis Collins, a geneticist with very strong religious views. If spared will this timely treatment allow Hitchens to dump his hubris and be thankful for life, Homeopathy, and the God who authored both?
